Note: A fan can share with ONE friend at a time.  As well, it is required by Facebook that the Friend Share Deal Download have a skip button so that sharing is not the only method to access the deal. This is needed to comply with Facebook anti-spam policies and promotions using Facebook features.  After sharing, the fan can share with another friend if they wish.  It is simply one share to one friend at a time.



Step 1: To begin with, set the page to the Manager section and then choose the tab called Add App.


Step 2: Next, scroll down the page and stop at the Coupon Apps section. Locate the Friend Share Deal Download App and click the Add+ button.


After clicking the Add+ button, you will be directed to the App Builder settings page. The App Builder has 5 sub-settings namely Friend Share Deal Settings, Share Images, Sign-up Form, Thank You Message and Sharing Options.


Step 3:  The Friend Share Deal Settings lets you create your deal offfer.  First, upload any type of file that you will use for your deal offer. This file can be downloaded by site visitors after they have finished sharing the offer. The Deal Limit Settings show the total amount of deal provided to fans. There will be no limit if the quantity of deals has been set to 0.


Step 4: The Share Images sub-setting requires three images to upload; the Instruction Image, After Shared Image and Promotion Over Image. The Instruction Image lets you upload an image telling your site visitors to share the page. On the other hand, the After Shared Image enables those visitors who have already shared the image to know the details of the deal. Lastly, the Promotion Over Image let the visitors know if the limit has already been reached or if the the promo has already been expired. You can add your desired destination URL to the blank fields located below each uploading section.


Step 5: The Sign-Up Form displays the other options of the setting when the checkbox has been ticked. It saves as well as export the entered information of the users. After sharing the deal image, the form appears on the screen. In addition to that, the box that appears this option lets you include some elements to your sign-up form and the order they are to be exhibited. These choices are Text area and Image.

There is a button found at the bottom-left corner called "Create Your Own Application." It exactly does the action just like what its name insists. After creating the application, it lets you enter the App ID and App Secret on the blank fields provided beside these variables.


The Promotion Tools has four sub-settings that can be modified in preparation for social media sharing. These are Social Sharing Options, Blog/Web Call-out Tool, Post Planning and Comment System.


Step 9: The first sub-setting for the Promotion Tools section is Social Sharing Options. With the aid of the Social media platforms offered in the page, you are able to modify the app. This app can be placed to any part of the page you wished to; top, bottom or both. The social networks that you can link your app with consist of Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest.

Step 14: The Advanced Setting enables you to upload to your app with the recommended size of 810 x 75 pixels for the header image. Step 15: The Language Setting has three sub-settings namely Friend Share, General and Comment System.


Step 16: The Friend Share Language Settings enables you to modify the default texts in each field with your own version. It has three main field boxes specifically Authentication & Notification, Friend Share Box and Deal Download Specific.


Step 17: The General sub-setting is the second one on the list. It has two drop-down menus namely "Like button language" and "Tweet button language". These drop-down menus have several languages listed in it. Also, you can modify the text for your Share button by entering your desired text to the box provided.


Step 18: The last sub-setting for Language are the Comment System and Errors. You can customize the texts intended for your comment system by replacing the default ones to your desired texts. Save the changes later.


Step 19: The Global Options comprise the Mobile Settings. These options include "Render desktop version on mobile" and "Use like gate on mobile device". The former lets users of mobile phones and gadgets to gain access with the app's content in a version that is mobile-friendly. Meanwhile, the latter lets users to display the same information in a like gate image. Reminder: Not all apps work with Mobile Difference.


Step 20: The Analytics section enables you to track down the traffic your app receives and where this traffic is coming from. Step 21: Press the green “Save” button after doing all the necessary changes with the settings


Step 22: After clicking the Save button, the page will lead you to the My Apps tab. This is where you can view all the tabs you have created. You can create another app, test it and finally, publish it consistent with your Plan features.

Step 23: Click "Publish" to undergo the procedure of publishing your app to your site or Facebook fan page.
