The "Pin Deal" App from TabSite is a great tool for offering a special discount, an e-book download, a savings code, or other promo that spreads virally across the social web because fans need to pin the deal in order to get access themselves. This app uses the power of both Facebook and Pinterest to drive awareness, interaction, and engagement, drawing visitors to your Facebook Page.
This App is available at the Platinum Plan level and includes the Promotional Tool feature enabling you to build a call-out to add to your website/blog to drive traffic to the tab!
This Engagement App for Facebook Pages offers a tab with features including:
First, see to it that you're in the Manager section and then the Add App tab.
Next, scroll down the page until you reach the Coupon Apps and then tick the Add+ button of the Pin Deal App.
After you have clicked the Add+ button, the page will take you to the App Builder settings section. There are 2 sub-settings for this section, Deal Images and App Set-up.
The first sub-setting for App Builder is called Deal Images. There are 3 images that requires to be uploaded in this section: Instruction Image, Deal Reveal Image and Deal Over Image. There is a recommended 810 x 500 pixel image size for these 3 images for optimum results.
The Instruction Image lets you upload an image to tell your fans to click the "Pin to Reveal" button and Pin the image that comes up to Pinterest. The second photo for uploading is the Deal Reveal Image, in which it is revealed to your fans after they have pinned the Instruction Image to Pinterest. Last but not the least, we have the Deal Over Image where the app displays the image when the limit has already been reached or when the deal has already expired.
The second sub-setting for the App Builder section is known as the App Set-up. It has 3 main boxes namely Deal Limit Settings, Image to Pin (Optional) and Deal Download (Optional).
In the Deal Limit Settings section, you can adjust the limit of the deals you are offering. Also, you are able to set the expiration date, time and your current time zone.
The next section is Facebook Settings. You are able to publish your app to several social networking sites in this section. You'll just have to enter your fan page, tab name, a 111 x 74 pixel tab logo and a tab icon.
In the lower-right corner of the page, there is a button named "Create your own application" where it does exactly what is written in its name. After creating the application, it lets you key in the App ID and App Secret on the provided blank fields.
The third setting in the list is Promotion Tools. It consists of sub-settings to be exact Social Sharing Options, Blog/Web Call-out Tool, Post-Planning and Comment System.
The Social Sharing Options sub-setting lets you customize your app for with the help of the social networks presented in the page. These social media platforms are Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest. You can place these apps to your desired area of the page.
As the administrator of the page, you are the one in-charge of the social media platforms you are linked to. Execute the engagement procedure for instance liking and sharing posts on Facebook, pre-setting your tweets on Twitter, +1 interesting contents on Google+ and pinning photos/pages with the Pin it button on Pinterest.
Create a web call-out to gain more visitors to your page with the use of the Blog/Call-out Tool. After uploading an image, you will be provided with an embed code where it can placed to your own blog, website or anywhere that requires this call-out image. When visitors tick this image, they will be directed to your tab on Facebook.
Want to schedule your posts to social networks and publish it at the same time? The Post Planning setting can do this job. There are three scheduling services provided by the page, these are Hootsuite, Sendible and Buffer. However, before you click one of them, see to it that you save your page first. The generated URL for posting is in the form of a SMART URL since it is PC and mobile friendly. Online visitors will be forwarded to your created Facebook tab.
The Comment System sub-setting lets you manage your comments. Additional options will display below after checking the "Enable Comment System" box. These options comprise of "Allow visitors to sign-in to comment via", "Comment Notification Emails", the "Require Comment Approval" checkbox and the Manage Comments button.
The "Allow visitors to sign-in to comment via" option enables either Facebook or Form as the process you will utilize for posting a comment. To disable the capability to post new comments, just uncheck both options to lock the commenting procedure. Then again, you are able to select whose email addresses you would like to notify anytime a new comment is published using the "Comment Notification Emails" option. There are several languages within the list. To replace the default texts sitting in your Share button text, just changed it with your preferred one to the box beside it.
There are two areas encompassing the Comment System: the Comment System Language Settings and Errors. You can modify the texts by changing the default input information written alongside the variables to your desired version of the texts. Save the changes you have made.
The Mobile section has two Global Options: "Render desktop version on mobile" and "Use like gate on mobile devices". The Analytics page is the last one in the settings list. It has graphs representing the different traffic sources such as Overview, Facebook Views, Mobile Views, Microsite Views, Shares, Likes and Pins.

Click the "Save" button after you have finished doing all the changes in the settings. It can be found in the lower-right portion of the page.
After pressing the Save button, the page will forward you to the My Apps tab of the Manager section. All the apps you have created can be viewed here. If you want, you can add another app, test it and publish it in keeping with your Plan's features.
Finally, tick the "Publish" button to go through the method of publishing your app to your website or Facebook fan page.
